School Conferences

Call it crazy... school conferences at age three... I had my most proud moment of Kate this week. Kate had her first assessment to see where she is in the New Horizon learning program. She is above and beyond most students: knows 13 uppercase letters, 8 lowercase letters, can count to 13 unassisted, can recognize 10 different numbers, knows all colors she was tested on, and can trace her name and shapes. They adore her and how well she follows directions and listens :-)

This was the most amazing nugget they shared with me. During free time, she asked a teacher how to write monkeys. The teacher wrote monkeys at the top of a sheet of paper and Kate wrote "monkeys" free hand!
She is able to trace her name off dots...

And, draw and cut along lines ...

Look Who's 4 Months Old

The day before Will turned 4 months old he rolled over and was SO proud. He propped right up on his arms and was smiling ear to ear. If he could have said, "I did it!" he would have!

He loves his tongue!
Will is so laid back, happy, and full of giggles. He will start giggling for no reason at all.  We are so blessed to have him in our lives. What was life like before kids?!?

Happy Easter!

This year was such a fun Easter! As Rose would say, three is the magical year! Kate was scared of the Easter Bunny and asked me to tell the Easter Bunny to not come into our house. I told her that I would call him and tell him to leave all of the goodies on the front step, and I would bring them in the house for her. I think she was happy with this solution.
She is following in her Nana's footsteps and loves Chapstick! Minnie Mouse Lipsmackers "cupcake" flavor... seriously Easter Bunny! You know how to pick it!
The true meaning of Easter...
Nothing like digging into the Easter basket and getting use out of the watercolor paints at 6:00AM
Loving up her baby brother and wishing him a Happy First Easter!
Our styling little man in his linen outfit and Sperry shoes for Spring

Such a great Big Sister!
We went to the Albers for Easter Brunch...
and an Easter Egg hunt. The girls were so cute helping Kate out in seeing the eggs right in front of her face ...
and helping her open all of the eggs to find the goodies inside.

Kate and Will

Kate adores Will just as much as he adores her
Will in his first buggy ride at school! As soon as he saw Kate walking towards him, he was smiling ear to ear!

Cousin Brandi's 40th Birthday Party

Will and I flew to Omaha last weekend for Brandi's 40th Birthday Party! He was a trooper and a little lover all weekend! Tony and Kate got a little one on one time and did great!
My cousin Brandi... I still owe her for shaving my legs when I was in 4th grade, as she thought they were too hairy. I paid for it for the next several years when my Mom wouldn't let me shave them, since she thought I was too young!
My Aunt Diane... It was so nice to see her! It had been too long

Papa being the 'baby whisperer'

Great Grandma Georgia got to meet the little Fella! She was so kind and gave up her room for us to stay in.

Nana got a little one on one time since she didn't have Kate to tell her she couldn't hold Will.

Ellie's Princess Birthday Party

Not sure what these two would do without each other! Ellie LOVES Sophia, so she had a Sophia the First Birthday Party.

Will's Baptism

We couldn't be more happy to know that Aunt Jenn and Cousin Donnie accepted the duty of being Will's Godparents.

Jeff and Jenn arrived a little early to meet Will.

Kate was in heaven when she found out Carlee was here for the weekend! Even Nana didn't win when Carlee was around!
Meeting Grandma Rose for the first time... He even smiled for this pic!

Cousin /Godfather Donnie
Will slept through the whole baptism

This must have been when Father was questioning where we were all from since we were a little slow for his liking.
