First "Real" Food

Well, I had my fourth month appointment this week... I am 25.5 inches long and 14 pounds! The doctor says that I am two months ahead of where I should be as a fourth month old. I impressed her with rolling across the doctor's table, giggling, and putting weight on my feet. She told me I was ready to start rice cereal and fruits and veggies!

Mommy and Daddy gave me rice cereal for the first time today and boy was I interested in it. Daddy thought cereal meant I got to eat Cheerios. Thank goodness, he realized that I don't have any teeth.

Rolling Machine!

After being on vacation for a week, I decided it was time to keep Mommy busy! She put me on the floor when we arrived home, and I just kept rollin' and rollin' from one side of the room to the other... Oh, boy! She better look out... I am really going to be active from here on out!

Family Vacation in Spicer, Minnesota

Well, I survived my first family vacation in Spicer, Minnesota at a lake home on Green Lake. My cousins, Cristian and Carlee, hung out with me all weekend! I can't wait to go on our next vacation! Mommy secretly told me that I get to go to Mexico for ten days in March! I can't wait to swim and see if they know how to speak "my" language!

Our First Family Vacation

Mommy and Daddy woke me up this morning to tell me that we are going on our first family vacation in Spicer, Minnesota! They say "Everything is nicer in Spicer!"

We will get to see my new friends Reese and Delaney and their mommy and daddy, Brooke and Kelly. Brooke is Mommy's best friend from back in Brookings where she grew up... PLUS, my cousins, Cristian and Carlee, and my Aunt and Uncle, Jenn and Jeff, are coming on Wednesday! PLUS, PLUS, my Nana and Papa Thompson are coming on Thursday... Oooooo..... I can't wait to show them everything that I can do!

Honestly... Mommy's favorite part of her day is coming to wake me up and seeing all of my smiles!

Four Months Old

I turned 4 months old today and I discovered ...

1. My voice! I am just talking up a storm. Check out the video to hear me! 
2. Reading! Okay, not really... Mommy and Daddy read to me every night, but I like to pretend like I am reading when I sit up. 
3. Rolling over! I got that arm out and can now roll from back to front.  Mommy hasn't been able to capture it on video yet. I am too fast for her! 
4. My thumb! No longer do I like my whole fist in my mouth now that I found my thumb.
5. Sitting up without bobbling my head! I love sitting up to see the world from a different view in my Bumbo chair.

My First Babysitter + U2 Concert

Mommy and Daddy went to the U2 concert at the end of July. It was the first outdoor concert at the TCF Football Stadium. They finally trusted me with a sitter that wasn't one of my grandma's... I had so much fun! Becky (my first babysitter) and I hung out playing with my Mr. Yellowhead and I loved showing her my belly!

Happy 32nd Birthday!

My mommy turned 32 on August 1st... My daddy helped me pick out flowers and a massage for her to enjoy a little relaxation. Her greatest gift of all was when I laid on the floor next to her and starting reaching for and touching her face for the first time.
