Santa Barbara, California

Our nephew graduated from college at UCSB a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, Tony couldn't make it due to his travel to Sweden. I flew out for a quick weekend and am so happy that I did! Not only was it great to partake in his celebration, but I truly enjoyed the time with Sylvia and Bob. Nick's decision making ability is excellent! UCSB is not only great academically, but it has a great social scene as a college student!

Nick is a DJ, and we were able to see him in action. Bob and Syl learned what "bottle service" is all about. The "two 60 year olds and the pregnant lady" had a tough time staying awake until 10:30pm Pacific when he started, but we did it!

Nick's graduation was on the lagoon in Goleta, California. People are not kidding when they say time goes by so quickly when you are watching the youngsters grow! He is off to L.A. for Law School at USC in August.

Sweden = Trip to South Dakota

Daddy has been quite the world traveler the past few months. I have missed him dearly. I have learned how to say so many countries and cities including Sweden.

Mommy and I went to South Dakota to see Nana and Papa when Daddy was in Sweden. I learned how to squirt water guns while I was there and thought it was pretty funny until I was squirted.

Can you find Papa? He is behind all of my loveys. Good luck getting me weened off lovies!
I insisted on bringing the potty chair out into the living room to try to go potty.
I was tuckered out by the time we went home!

Como Zoo

June was a "Zoo" theme in Kate's class. She learned what sounds a monkey, lion, and elephant make. When we went to Como Zoo, she knew all the animals and was yelling what they were before I would even see them. Como Town is connected to Como Zoo. Kate was so excited as we were walking up to it she was screaming in a high pitched voice. She kept saying, "I want to ride the rides and go weally fast."

Parks + Dairy Queen

We've spent many days at the park. We have a ritual to pickup Subway for a picnic in the park and then play until she doesn't want to play anymore. Dairy Queen has been a Sunday favorite. We are happy to know she likes ice cream this year!

Children's Museum

We have been busy most weekends getting out on the town to try something new. With the weather in May and most of June, we were doing indoor activities. We opted for a season pass to the Children's Museum. Papa would be proud that her favorite exhibit is still the grocery store. She loves putting food in her cart and ringing up her order on the oversized cash register.

It was paint your own face day at the beginning of June. She did it all on her own and looked like a little kitty.

My First Haircut

Mommy bribed me with M&M's while I got my first haircut. I sat still and explored every tool possible to a hairstylst.

Big Sister!

It is sad to say that it has been over a month since we've posted anything. We've been quite busy the past month. Yes, it is true! Kate is going to be a Big Sister with an expected arrival date of January 1st, 2014 and have officially made it through our first trimester. Maybe, we will have a Christmas baby. We cannot think of a better way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!

Kate often says, "I want a Baby Sister. Do you want a Baby Sister too?" OR "Mommy has a baby in her belly. I have a baby in my belly too," while she is lifting up her shirt to show the world. She continues to be a sweet, nurturing soul. While we were driving today, I was listening to her talk to her lovey and her baby in the backseat. She was singing to her and was tickling her and rocking her in her arms. She will be a wonderful Big Sister!
