Dancing Machine

It is very odd... My mom and dad cannot name the artist or tell you the name of most songs. I have so much to teach them. I LOVE music and to dance. My mom had my conferences this week at school. They told her that I am sooo happy, have amazing balance, and know how to sing and dance. Yes, I have many talents already. Mom thinks this means I will be a great gymnast or a dancer.

Bedtime Stories

I love bringing Mommy books to read me a story before bed. It only last about two seconds and then I am on to the next book. I think I pull every book off the shelf (twice) before I go to bed.

BBQ in April in Minnesota

Last weekend, we went over to the Albers for a little BBQ with their family and the Cunningtons. It was a little girl's fest! They had a little birthday cupcake for Kate and sang "Happy Birthday." Delaney and Prestley welcomed Kate into the under 5 girl's club. She still likes to feed us the cake rather than herself. Guess I can't complain that she doesn't want to eat the sweets.

Vroom, Vroom

"Vroom, Vroom.... "is about the only sound I make these days at the grocery store. I love my new ride!

Older Infants

This was my first full week in the Older Infants room at school. My best friend, Ellie, and I transitioned together. She and my lovey have been my saving grace this week! I was sad to start but now that I see what this older infant room is all about, I am happier than I've ever been. I am walking all by myself and am giggling at just about everything.

Walking all on my own!

ONE year and ONE day old and ONE heck of a walker! Look who officially overcame her fears and took a leap of faith to walk on her own without holding onto furniture. She is such a big girl and VERY proud of herself! We spent the day walking back and forth in the kitchen, sunroom, and living room. The tupperware drawer is her favorite in the house!

Minnesota Zoo

We became members of the Minnesota Zoo today! It is officially Kate's birthday today, so we went to celebrate.  It was 75 degrees today - We do not remember it being this nice when she was born a year ago or since either of us where born. We took advantage of it!
I think her favorite exhibit was the penguins...

What's your Wingspan?
We settled for the Woodpecker wingspan. It will be several years until she can beat the Bald Eagle wingspan.
Is this coyote the one that we see in Minnetonka every once in awhile?

Look Whoo's One!

Katherine Rose is officially one! It is hard to believe that it has been one year since she was born. She is the light of our lives! As you know, Joy (her stuffed owl) has been by Kate's side since she was born. We thought we could not celebrate any other way than to have Joy be the theme of her party. We had Aunt Syl, Uncle Bob, Uncle Dave, and a few neighbors join us for her party. Unfortunately, Kate had a hand, foot, and mouth virus, so we had to un-invite her friends Ellie, Delaney and Reese.

This is about as messy as I wanted to get. I took the clean route and decided to not dive into the cake. If I had felt better, I may have considered it.

We had a Mexican celebration with Nana and Papa while we were in Mexico a few weeks ago.

Happy Easter!

Aunt Syl and Uncle Bob came to visit for Easter. I was not feeling well most of the weekend, but I still managed to have fun! Easter Sunday Mass...
 My Godmother / Aunt Syl
Cheerios were tasty during Mass...
Hamming it up for others is what I do best!

Hola, Mi Amigos

Uno, dos, tres... caliente... hola... adios... All of these words my parents are teaching me finally made sense. I heard it often in Mazatlan, Mexico for ten straight days. I had the time of my life, but I am dreading going back to school tomorrow. Who wants to go to school when I've had my mommy and daddy and nana and papa wrapped around my pinky for days?!?

Mommy says I could have be on a Neutrogena commercial. I loved playing the with sunscreen stick while Mommy attempted to lather me up.
Nana pulled me around in the pool... I kicked back with my feet crossed and hummed the whole way.
Oh, how I love hanging out on Daddy's lap.
Mommy says my experience at Senor Frogs was different than what I will experience in the years to come.
Who needs a car seat? Not me in Mexico. Pulmonia's are the best! Wind blowing through my hair and not strapped in! Mommy is going to have her work cut out for her tomorrow when we have to go to school in my car seat!
I played hard AND slept hard.
I loved bird watching at the resort!
Bikini ready! Nana did a nice job picking it out!
 Mommy loved my behind
The kiddie pool had a nice ledge for me to hang out and walk along. We would go to the pool before my morning nap and after my afternoon nap. It kept Mommy and Daddy busy going back and forth.

The second to last day and I finally liked the sandy beach. Thanks to Aunt Syl and Uncle Bob for my stylish suit! I had a few moms stop by and say, "Oh, Juicy... so adorable!"

Daddy walked back and forth with me as the waves splashed in. As soon as the cold ocean hit my feet, I  would turn back and head for safety.

Mommy was snapping so many pictures while I sat on the beach and watched the waves. I decided to eat the muddy sand. Mommy was so beside herself hoping that I did not catch parasites.

I love public transportation. The bus trips back and forth between resorts was one of my highlights.

Morning time with Daddy on the patio was fun! He let me wear my swimming suit as a head wrap. Until next time... Adios!
