You Decide...

"She looks so much like..." We hear it all the time! You look like your Daddy - You look like your Mommy. I think I am a cross between the two. You decide...

"Free" Water

Mommy and Daddy tell me that one day we will take a road trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota. On the way, there is this place called Wall Drug and they give you "free" water. Well... I get plenty of "free" water at home and I love it!

A Walk About...

I wasn't kidding when I told you I might out do my dad and walk before 11 months. I am using the furniture as my guidepost and am going for what Australians used to call a "walk about." I make a few laps around the coffee table each day.

This weekend I really started working on my "mah" and "bah" and "dah" ... what will my first word be?!? Mom and Dad know they are in trouble when I start talking, as I will never stop. My Daddy thinks there is quite time, especially during his newspaper reading time - ha!

At my doctor's appointment this week, I checked in at 18 pounds 4 ounces, and I am officially 28 inches long. Long and Lean...

Nine Months Old

Nine months old, and I am Miss. Active! The teachers had to put away the bouncy chairs at school. I like to climb in them, stand, and bounce. They say it is dangerous! I say... it is adventurous! No doubt about it... I am fearless yet cautious! Happiness is my main mood! Daddy walked at 11 months - I just might out do him!

Only two months until I go on my first airplane ride to Mexico. We will get to spend ten days playing in the pool with my Nana and Papa! Can't wait!

Big Girl on the Potty!

Guess who went potty on the potty chair today?!?! Me! Mommy says we are going to do this European style and to heck with the American way. The Europeans have their children out of diapers between 14 and 18 months. The first phase (between 7 and 9 months) is all about getting me comfortable with the potty chair.

Well, we started on Monday, and I didn't like it the first two days. Wednesday came, and I was smiling and happy. Mommy set me on the chair when I woke up this morning for just a few minutes, and I went POTTY! Okay, so I don't really know what I am doing BUT I went potty! The next phase is getting me to understand my bladder signals. We will see how it goes...

Table Food

Mmm.... Boy, do I love to eat! I have successfully mastered eating table food all by myself! Among my favorites are avocados, bananas, Cheerios, grilled chicken, broccoli, peas... well, I like it all.

Happy New Year!

We went to Rochester to celebrate the new year at my Mommy and Daddy's friends, Chris and Christine.

We came home on New Years Day and Mommy put together my new Walk and Ride toy from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jenn. I am "SO big" on it!

Christmas Day - Grandma Rose's

We headed to Grandma Rose's on Christmas Day afternoon to celebrate with her! She gave me princess slippers along with my princess dish set!
The outfit she gave me is so comfy and pretty, however, I thought Grandma's glasses looked like more fun at the time.
She gave me a baby that has all kinds of fun material and it rattles when it shakes.
Aunt Lois and Cousin Roger stopped by into the evening. They were so sweet! They brought me this really cool picnic basket that I absolutely love to play with. It keeps me entertained for hours. Unfortunately, we left Grandma's house early so I could go to the doctor. Good thing we did, as I had an ear infection that needed to be treated. Aunt Lois made Mommy and Daddy a very nice bag of treats and food to keep them full on the drive back.

Christmas Day - Stockings

As I patiently waited for my cousins to wake up so we could open stockings, I played with my Great Grandma Georgia!

Once they were up, we dove right into our stockings... Who is this Santa guy and what did he do with my cookies?
To heck with the cookies, I like these yogurt snacks!

Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's

Merry Christmas! The family tradition goes... we have Christmas dinner around 2pm, go to church, come home to open gifts, find the German "Pickle" on the tree, and eat pie...
Mommy and Daddy got me a new pair of pajamas that will also be a tradition on Christmas Eve in preparation for Santa.

Pre-Christmas

Mommy and Daddy let me open a few gifts from them before we drove to South Dakota for the holidays. I really like unwrapping gifts. My favorite part is trying to eat the paper! This is a classic video - Mommy didn't realize that the camera was still on!

Mommy and Daddy got me my very own chair for Christmas! I LOVE to climb up and down... up and down. I don't think they realized when they got it for me how occupied it would keep me.
Even though I really like my chair, I find the box that it came in equally fun!
I kept going for Daddy's bottle, but he wouldn't let me have a pull. I guess he thinks his bottle is better than mine.
