Happy 2nd Birthday, Kate!

Our sweet Kate turned 2 years old on Sunday! The day she turned one year old, she started walking. The day she turned 2 years old, she started stringing together full sentences. Her first full sentence on Sunday was, "I want some eggs too, Momma!"

We decided to have a mini celebration with just the three of us all weekend long. Kate was so excited to be the birthday girl! A Dora and Diego birthday cake all to herself... Our favorite part of the day was when she was eating her last piece of cake at the end of the weekend. As she was putting frosting into her mouth, she said, "Happy Birthday Kate" to herself. Her actual birthday party will be on April 27th.
 Cheese...
Happy Birthday to you...
Rockstar! Uncle Jeff, Aunt Jenn, Cristian, and Carlee sent me a guitar and a real live microphone! It's been a hit in our household! I love standing and singing ABC's into the mic, along with repeating "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" over and over into the mic.

Uncle Jeff sent me a birthday crown in my card. It fit my baby perfectly...
I was "crowned" at school as the birthday girl and the class sang "Happy Birthday" to me.
Nana and Papa called and sang "Happy Birthday" to me via FaceTime. I got a kick out of Papa's voice!
Mommy and Daddy took me to an Art Studio where I painted my first canvas painting. It was fun! Looks like a dancer or a painter could be in my future.

Mall of America - Universal Studio

Sunday morning fun at the Mall of America!

I went on my first ferris wheel ride...
...rode the carousel...

...rode the "choo choo" train with Daddy...
...sat by Dora and gave her lots of high fives.

Happy Easter!

We drove to Mitchell, South Dakota to see my Grandma Rose for Easter! I was so excited to see her that I was chanting "Grandma" as we approached her house.
Grandma had a puppy waiting for me when I arrived. He is my new best friend.
It was a gorgeous weekend. Grandma and I sat on the patio to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Grandma made me cupcakes for my birthday with the homemade frosting she used to put on my Daddy's birthday cake. It was yummy! I helped her frost the cupcakes. A little for the cupcake... A little for my belly. Grandma had to keep plugging the holes on the cupcake with frosting since I kept getting my little pointer finger in for a taste!

 Happy Birthday to me...
Grandma colored Easter eggs, and we decorated them with fun stickers.

We had an Easter Egg Hunt. I quickly learned by the shake which ones were "good." M&Ms or animal crackers? The first egg I found was filled with M&Ms. I was completely happy with sitting and eating the M&Ms before I continued on with the hunt. When I did continue on, I held on to the one green egg filled with M&Ms. I wasn't going to let it out of sight!
Aunt Syl and Uncle Bob were in Mitchell too! The Easter basket they gave me was filled with "M's." Aunt Syl knows her way to my heart. Yummy!
Uncle Dave now has competition...Uncle Bob was one of my favorites from the weekend!
My cousins Bryan, Diane, Delaney, and Aunt Lois stopped over to see me on Easter Eve.
Happy Easter! Look what the Easter Bunny left me...

We went to Sunday morning mass and I sat with Grandma.
