Go Gophers (August)

Big ol' hot dog!

Life Celebration (August)

We went back to South Dakota in August for Dad's Life Celebration with the police officers and EMTs. It is such an important tradition and celebration. We are so thankful we've been blessed with so many more years of Papa/Dad!

I think the words from one of the police officers were, "Cheers to the man who won't leave."

Go Twins! (August)

After the campaign was over, we celebrated over a Twins game! I'm not sure who was more happy, Kate or Dave.
Will was so excited to hang out with Daddy. He hadn't been able to do that much since he was born.
Daddy loved how Will quickly liked baseball. He was intently watching every play!
He almost made it until the end of the game.
Baby really enjoyed the game too!

Vote for Wagner! (August)

Unfortunately, Tony did not win the Primary in August for Minnesota House 44B. He was clearly the most qualified candidate and was the winner in our eyes! We gathered many great learnings along the way. On a positive note, we've had more family time, and we were able to spend a great deal of time with Tony's brother, Dave, through the process. Dave retired a few years ago and came over every day to help Tony door knock. I loved listening to him at the end of the day when he would tell me the stories about how he won people over at the door.
Kate was pleased to see Uncle Dave every day too! He watered the plants with her one day before they headed out. My favorite part of this picture is Uncle Dave holding Kate's baby.
Uncle Dave took time to try and teach Kate how to tie a shoe. Hopefully, he will be back to continue this process before Kindergarten.
We voted as a family the morning of the election. Kate proudly wore her "I voted" sticker. We also stood on the corner with Wagner signs to encourage people to vote ... Will in the baby bjorn and Kate standing by my side.
When they asked Kate at school where Tony was on election day, she told them "out winning." We loved her energy and support during the race.
